Q. What is Airline Recovery?
A. We are specialists in the EU Regulation that governs the governs the obligations of the airlines to the air passengers. We use this expert knowledge to submit claims to airlines, on behalf of air passengers to ensure that they receive the compensation to which they are entitled.

A. No. Airline Recovery are a claims management business that specialises in airline compensation. In some instances we will appoint the service of law firms when it is necessary.

Q. How does it work?
A. Complete our online claims form the best you can. One of our specialist claim assessors will determine whether you have a valid compensation claim against your airline. If you do have a claim they will ask you to send us a couple of documents and we will then liaise directly with the airline on your behalf. If the airline do not meet our initial request, we may also pursue the claim from the regulatory body.

Q. How much does it cost and what do I receive?
A. We will never charge you any fee for our services, however, upon receiving a compensation payment from the airline, we will keep 25% and forward the remaining 75% to your bank account.

Q. What is No Win No Fee?
A. Airline Recovery works on a ‘No Win No Fee’ basis which means that you only pay us a fee when we are successful. You will receive 75% of any compensation received. When we are not able to solve your claim, you do not have to pay us anything.

Q. Does Airline Recovery guarantee that I will receive compensation?
A. Airline Recovery does not guarantee that you will receive compensation. However, it is in our best interests to ensure that we explore every aspect of your claim and will do all that we can to ensure you receive any compensation you are due.

Q. How long after the incident can I submit a complaint?
A. Regulation 261/2004 does not specifically refer to a time limit but as the rules vary in each Member State you should notify us as soon as possible.

Q. What happens with my personal information?
A. All personal information collected by Airline Recovery is treated confidentially and is not shared with any third parties. For more information please consult our privacy policy.

Q. What if the airline contacts me directly?
A. If the airline contacts directly when you have already filed a claim with Airline Recovery you should contact us immediately. Likewise, please always contact us before accepting any offers that are made by the airline .

It is possible that Airline Recovery have already initiated proceedings against the airline for you and will need to cover these costs.

When the airline pays you directly, we will send you an invoice for the percentage of the compensation, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.

Q. Which airports are affected by these regulations?
A. All airports within the European Union (EU), Iceland, Norway and Switzerland. Gibraltar is exempt.

Q. Can I claim if I was refused boarding because of inadequate or missing documentation?
No. The airline has the right to deny boarding for certain reasons such as health, safety, security and inadequate documentation. However, these explanations must be well-founded.

Q. I volunteered to surrender my seat when the airline overbooked - can I still claim?
A. Yes, this is an agreement between you and the carrier and is in addition to the benefits of the regulation.

Q. Do these regulation apply to helicopter or chartered private aircraft?
A. No.
